someone mentioned that car wax works good for waterproofing the rifles/shotguns.
After making sure that the stock was coated on all sides (specially inside-where the factory does nothing most of the times), I gave it a good rub, with the wax. Same tratment for all metal that stays under the line of sight. Went out moose hunting and all was good. No water, no rust.
The only thing I forgot to wax were the scope rings. They were full of rust, but needed just a few drops of Kroil to clean up.
