Mount & Rings for 452 Lux

Hello:

Anyone successfully mount a 40mm scope on a 452 Lux & clear the rear sight?

Have a Nikon 4-12x 40mm AO scope.

The rear sight is ~8mm above the dovetail + 20mm for half the scope = 28mm - 12mm from center of ring to base of ring = 16mm high rings minimum (18mm better, than have at least a little clearance).

Do I pass math?

I bought rings from Eric Brooks (I think that's the name) and it cleared the rear sight for a Mueller 4.5x14 barely. This was two years ago, don't know if they can still ship to Canada with the new US laws. Karl

Checked for you it was definitely Eric Brooks.

Thank you Hermie. Looking into Brook's reputation am a little apprehensive.

Should others be interested, I also received tips that the BKL 257 & Warne 7.3 /.22 rings may work - thank you CGNrs
