After lots of reading, research, and feedback from various sources, including the NX8 thread in here, Ive decided to go w a Leupold Mk5 HD 3.6x18-44 w PR-1 moa illum reticle on my Browning xbolt Hells Canyon Speed in 300wsm.
Objective is a longer range elk/mountain rifle thats is also range capable to 1000 yds.

Now I need to find a quality mount system, and I would like to include a 20moa rail for more indexing.
Leupolds mount finder results in nothing found.
Talley onepiece lightweights are cerakoted to match the HCS but not available in 35mm.
Talley does have a 20moa rail cerakoted for xbolt HCS, and it accepts milspec 1913 rings.

Not looking to rehash my rifle/scope decision :) as I already did that to myself enuf!
but would certainly appreciate suggestions for 35mm mount system on an xbolt.
Thx!

Thx will check them out.

Went back to the Leupold mount finder and dug some more, and it seems I can use their Mark4 rings on an xbolt rail.
Also found a 20moa rail for xbolt by Browning.
End result may be a mixed bag, but hoping for an integrated solution.

You speak of hunting so personally I would discard 1 piece mounts for weight reasons.

I'm about to recommend ARC M10 rings to my buddy for his long range hunting rig,
Still testing it myself for reliability before I push the product to him.

I went with a Spuhr and couldn't be happier. Not cheap but built in level is great and the reputation speaks for itself.
did you lap the Spuhr?

Also, when in the shooting position, how well can you see the bubble level? Or do you have to raise your head, lose cheekweld, to check it?

I'm actually left handed and the level is on the off side for me so I do have to shift a bit to see it. Right handed guys on the gun say both eyes open is all that's needed for them.

I didn't lap the mount.

If you put a 20MOA rail on your rifle you get a pretty decent choice of 35mm rings. I'm currently using Leupold Mk4s with mine, mostly because I wanted to be able to use an "accessory cap" (for a red dot) and didn't want to spend for Spuhr. I've had zero issues with the Leupold rings over 10k+ rounds. MDT, Spuhr, Badger Ordnance and I think Vortex (they're rebranded Seekins Precision rings) all make rings/unimounts for 35mm scopes.

I was looking at the Vortex Precision's ...a friend has them on his 338 lapua and says they are solid.
Thx for the feedback on the mk4's..wasnt sure about them.
