Went for a rip up to a local lake and while hikin around fishing it, my sling friggen broke on my '06 and it landed on some moss, thank Christ, still on zero no damage.
I am looking for a sling that wont ever do this to me again, who has the answer ???
 
I use paracord slings. Lightweight, dont break. Ebay, Amazon lots of places. Also a "mountain sling" out there ultra lightweight. Uncle Mikes I think.
 
I'm partial to the military slings as a shooting carrying aid. But I wanted something lightweight so went into a tack shop and bought some halter making nylon strap. Available in different colors/thicknesses. I made the front loop exactly the size I use on the military slings and the rear the same length for comfortable carrying.Made a couple of retainers. It has lasted years. You will not break it.
