OK, so I seen a kit like this on TreelineM14...easy enough I thought, I'll make my own (Reference, picture below). They say that you have to use a Versa Pod for it to fit (Harris will not, verified) but after looking on the Versa Pod website for 15 mins I still have no idea what I need to make it work. Has anyone else attempted this setup before, or is at least more familiar with VP?

I know It's going to be suggested so I'll just say it now: I guess I'm a bit of an old softie. I don't want to attach a rail to the bottom of my beautiful walnut stock. Hentz, why this setup appeals to me - it can be attached/removed quickly without modifying the look permanently. I don't run a bipod on this rifle very often, usually shoot offhand or off a pack. But I would like the option now and then for load development or when I take new shooters out, etc.

No.

No. I got and installed the very same Treeline swivel as you've shown, only then realizing that my Harris (or Atlas)
would not fit. There's not enough space between the stud and the swivel.
If you find a solution, I'd be obliged if you'd post it on this thread. :)0 |

The versa pods were designed to go on tactical (black) rifles...specifically Accuracy International. There are, however, many adapters available....one of which should work. If you pull your stud(and strap mount) use the plate as a template to make your own "Stud Mount Plate" fill/shim....then you should be able to use "150-110 Universal Q.D. Sling Stud Versa-Pod Bipod Adapter No-Cant" from stores.versa pod.com
Hope that helps
