I don't believe all the red optics will fit the CSA side rail, I could be wrong through. I wanted to throw a POSP on my CSA, however most of the Red Optics make use of a recoil lug, which the CSA offering does not support. There are 2 ways around this:
1) Route a groove out to let the recoil lug sit in it. Dimensions will be 2.5" long x .25" wide x 5/16" or 3/32" deep. This route should be started a 1/16 of an inch after the bevel on the end of the side rail that points toward the front of the rifle. Props to Dick_Landy for all this information. Pictured:
2) WestRifle and other places sell a longer, similar version of the side rail, more geared towards the CZ 858 rifles that accepts Red Optics with the recoil lug. It will fit the rifle, but every installation I've seen required holes to be drilled into the receiver for mounting. Can you drill holes in this rail to line up with the holes pre-drilled in the CSA VZ58? I have no idea, and haven't tried it myself, but it might be an option if someone had a rail kicking around and was willing to try it. See link:

I was planning on going with option 1, to throw a 4x PSOP on my VZ58, however I went to town with the loctite when I installed the CSA side rail, and ending up stripping one of the bolts last night when I went to remove it to have the route machined into the side rail. I could drill it out, yes, but then I have to source another bolt to secure it back on, which I won't be doing at this time (Unless someone has one to send to me! haha)
