Mounting a Vortex Viper 2,5x10x44 on a Tikka T3...

Hi all, wondering which height rings to buy to mount the Vortex Viper 2.5 x10 x 44mm to my Tikka T3 in order to have the scope as low as possible. The Vortex rings are expensive and I'm hoping to avoid having to return the first or second attempt to get it right.

Anyone mounted a 44mm objective on a T3 lately? I'm thinking the (low rings) .90" clearance should be enough but not sure. The medium's are only .10" higher..

Depends on whether you are using a weaver mount set up or the Tikka proprietary dovetail mounts..

Talley lows. Use the one piece aluminum ones. Nothing else is worth considering.

I don't think the extra lows would work with that Viper. Lows should be decent for the scope, but you might want a cheek pad on the stock.

Well I ordered the Viper Optics Pro Series, 'low' ( not extra low...), and we'll see on Friday. I did the math and it will be close but since I have a picatinny rail mounted in the Tikka dovetail it should be OK...
