Mounting bipod on 10/22 Ruger with black synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel

I just recieved a champion ( model # 40854) bipod and want to install it on my 10/22 Ruger with black synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel but the bipod doesn't sit correctly. It's supposed to clamp on to sling swivel.

Anyone know how to install/modify/correct model to purchase that will go on my Ruger?

If it does not have a stud it will not work.
I assume you have a model with a barrel band and it will accept a sling.
As to your bipod, you could possibly have a stud installed the would be on the trigger side of the band.

Stud swivel or a replacement barrel band

Can't really go eith swivel stud because of the stock but will look for different barrel band
