Mounting light on Classic Green-ideas/examples other than B&T quad rail?

Have you ever watched the Red Green show to get ideas on attaching a light on your Classic Green?
JK,
Due to the light recoil... I'm sure duct tape may work, however I have no reason for mounting a light on mine so I never looked into other options.
That was the first thing that came to mind,
Sorry.

I think the simplest and most effective is to drill holes through the handguard and install a short section of picatinny rail. The MOE sections work quite well and come with mounting hardware, all you need is to carefully position your holes and drill them slowly. The Carbines actually already come with pre-drilled holes in the sides.

Personally I would put the light in the 9-o'clock position so it sits just above your thumb (or even just below it if you sit your thumb higher up).

My friend put a rail on the bottom for a grip and flashlight and it works well for him, he's had that rifle for probably 5+ years and no cracking or damage to the handguard.

B&T make a small anodized aluminium rail that fits the contour of the underside of the hand-guard perfectly. It is very unobtrusive and rock solid. I don't have any pics, but give the Shooting Edge a call and they will hook you up!
