Mounting shed antlers

Has anyone here mounted there shed antlers that they have found? If so do you care to share some pictures and an easy DIY idea I could possibly try? Not once did I ever imagine I would mount them on a plaque or anything seeing how I didnt shoot it, but someone mentioned it so i figured I would ask the question if anyone here has done it and maybe share some pictures? I was going to use them for rattling but they are very heavy and awkward to carry around the woods so i use a rattle bag, now they just hang in my gun room tied on a string... so why not show them off.

I am aware of the kits you can buy at cabelas, but when I went in the store to look at them they seemed cheap and I feel something more attractive and durable can be made at home. Let me know what you have done.

Although I have not seen one in person, the photos look good IMO.
 
a friend did i very nice one. he had matching sheds from 3 years and shot the buck the fourth year. the first started at the bottom moving up to the ones on it when he shot it.
