Just bought another sks a tula 52r laminated, I am thinking about instaling a BC tactical front sight mount and using a bushnell tr25 red dot...anybody have this combo out there.I have never used a red dot but the old eyes are getting funky,I dont want to put a scope on it.I might loose the front sight and cut back the barrel thread it and put on a ak muzzle brake for looks.
My first sks has the bells and whistles its a tula 53r. I bought it with a tapco t6 stock with clips(also tapco) being who I am with mods, I instaled a wolf spring kit (27.5) murrays spring loaded firing pin,and polished the sear.I then put on a hical peep sight with thinner front sight. No i couldnt stop there lol I put a fancy dancy machined muzzle brake from hical.....These are just plinkers but I am considering using it for deer down the road....The peep is a decent sight I can get good groups at 75 yds, its the furthest ive shot it, I might get it out into the bush at a hundred(75 is the max at our range)..It was started as a black powder range yrs ago....Anyhow this is my first post and i am impressed with the info on here so thanks...I followed survivors sks for a while and its a great sight too but I want to keep it more canadian as its just easier when it comes to finding accessories and not having to go over the border...the dollar as it is just costs way to much...I am not affiliated with any buisnesses but I must say that hical seems to run a good outfit they are a pleasure to deal with as is bullseye,I am lookin forward to trying some of the others I see advertised on here...
Any ideas or input would be appreciated!....Thanks canadian gunnutz
