Well I decided to move the gun range.
Before I had things set up out to 150yrds in the field
But honestly I was shooting way too much. If that possible.
When you can step out on the back deck and play I shoot more then I can afford. Hahaha

So I moved the range further out on the property so I have to walk 1min to get to it.
Like the fatty that has to hide the junk food. 😂

Anyway it’s only 50-60yrds for now. Will extend to what I can get out of it. Maybe 125yrds tops with some chainsaw work. But I’ll just biuld smaller targets to keep it challenging.

What do you think?

Well, I’d be a little disconcerted with the sideways world that you live in, but I guess you probably got used to it….
I’d be interested to know how you adjust your scopes….lol…..is it windage….elevation…..so confusing

Well you know what Ketucky windage is.
I use gang banger windage.

Honestly don’t know why they turned sideways.
Give my technology illiterate ass a moment.

I have a few targets made out of pipeline blinds, they work ok but are only made of mild steel so only shoot at them with 22s or cowboy loads from the lever guns
Have a couple ar500 plates to shoot at with the bigger stuff but need to get more of them
as was said you got a nice set up over there :)

Great spot, thanks for sharing photos of your set-up! Only thing I can't stand about make-shift/outdoor shooting ranges is uneven ground to stand on, or set-up my portable bench. Other than a lane for 100 yard targets (which sounds like it's in your plans) I'd say it looks great.

I'd say you are a very fortunate gunny. I now live in the city and hate every minute of it

^I think allot of us can relate. I'm in the suburbs=nowhere to shoot close by, and fewer options than living in a city. lol We're considering a move in the next few years, my top pick would be S. Alberta, the east coast as plan B. My wife shows me houses listed, and already knows to anticipate my first question; "can I shoot a .22 off the back deck?" (true story)

If you cleared some trees, could you see this from your deck? A minutes walk adds a fair bit of distance to the bullet. 200 to 500yds is really interesting to me now for rimfire.

Nice piece of property

Jerry

I had a thousand yard range on the farm no close nieghbours. It was heavenly. Now I live in town and all of my nieghbours are terrified of me as they see me loading and unloading the truck all the time. Plus my 180lb mastiff is apparently menacing haven't quite figured that out yet. She only barks if you come on to my property and only growls if you approach my wife or child uninvited. Other than that I have to nudge her to make sure she's still alive. She sleeps most the day. Like I said I hate city life. I'm happy for those who can enjoy shooting on their property. And yes I am jealous
