OK chaps here is a good one. I thought I would get you chaps to sound off and tell me what you think, is this a Long Lee sporter or a Commercial Lee Speed (possibly a No.3). From the Wolfman.
First the obvious are the 10 rd mag and the cocking piece safety (which were both Speed options) The fact it does not have the spooned handle which are typical of the Lee Speeds, but again the No3 had a round handle. So none of these really confirm one way or another. Now how about those sights, are they the express sights, or they almost look like a lowered ladder style. And it is hard to say but it appears there may be a more pistol grip stock with the pommel on it which would be indicative of a Lee Speed, but again I do not recall that style of butt being on the lower end No.3s'.
