Im moving from B.C. to Alberta (Calgary) I was planning on just leaving my firearms at my parents house and keeping them in my name cause I don't plan to live in Alberta forever 3-4 years tops. My question is do I have to re take my PAL/RPAL/Core in Alberta if I want to purchase anything while I'm living there or if I want to go hunting? I would think that PAL/RPAL would be universal in Canada but I would understand if I had to re take a core cause different game, laws in all provinces. Any input would be helpful.

Your PAL/RPAL is good coast to coast to coast. I'm pretty sure you'll need to an Alberta Wildlife Identification Number (WIN) before you can get a hunting license.

Cheers,
