Mp 44 anyone? ..I have a few extra.....

Granted, could be the light that obscures the step of the barrel. However, on closer inspection I do see what you mean by the front sight. The front sight pedestal isn't square like it should be for the MP43/1's. So, looks like the Mp43/1 is incorrect and a trick of the light.

IIRC, with the MP43/1's had the rails on the rear sight for mouting the ZF41's. That was done away with with the MP43's. Can't find my reference on this point, so not 100% sure on that one.

Just curious, what books/resources do you have on the Sturmgewehr Blackgunlover? And more importantly, where can I get a copy? :)

I have just about everything ever printed on the MP44 that is any good. best right now would be Sturmgewehr!-From Firepower to Striking Power
by Hans-Dieter Handrich

Not a book for light reading.

I have the link to the entire set of pictures of the batf washington sight.. I do not think that they allow us to post links on this cgn.. or is it O.K.

I think that that's a South African designed 12 guage shotgun, feeds from the twin mags above the barrel. I forget what its called, dates back to the early nineties

Neustead (or Neustad) shotgun. Named after the designer. I still have an old "Small Arms" magazine with the Peter Kokalis article trumpeting the fantastic new design that never went anywhere....
