Hey CGN,

I am looking for info on the MP-446C Viking. Looks interesting, priced well...something different (no thanks on Glocks!) and its Russian which for me = cool.

Now for those who, hopefully have them...

How do they shoot? Overall thoughts, ect?

Thanks,

- UTAF

I have one. Here are my thoughts:
-Shoots excellent, never one failure of any kind- feeds everything
-sights are ok, at best but work.
-bbl is rated beyond +p+ according to manufacturer
-Trigger is very Beretta 92-like in operation, ie- Loooong DA and decent SA
-Overall gun is constructed well but finish is thin at best. Slide wears at dustcover almost immediately.
-Mags load from top down, like semi-auto rifle mags. Can't use dainty ''uplula'' loader thingy. Man thumbs needed.

I would not hesitate to get one if you are interested. I would recommend you get the steel version with the 5 mags as I am not sure how availability will be in the future.

BTW- Interammo is super to deal with, they will go out of their way to help you.

Bollox, pretty much summed it up, great gun, if you want some thing rugged and reliable but not a Glock, and chamber is indeed huge, so if you reload, and want to go beyond its definitely can take some

I just bought a used steel MP446. Haven't shot it yet - just cleaned it up and played with it a bit so far. Seems pretty well made. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the trigger is lighter and better than my CZ75B in both DA and SA. And I had been pretty happy with the CZ trigger.

Boy, you aint kiddin! Those things are a ##### to load. Need to get those STRONG springs softened up a bit.

spring getting a bit softer after few hundred rounds :) after all It was built for the army - has to be triple reliable in a big star Russian generals point of view ;) I would not recommend to cut the spring, but we have a customer from Toronto who shortened the spring and happy with it...

Yup, that's what I'm counting on happening. I'll use it for a while and it will most likely get easier, either by the spring loosing a bit of its oomph or by my thumb getting tougher and stronger. :D:D I'm for sure not planning on cutting anything.

I took a nice photo of it:
