Mp-5.....

well the closest "looking" to the mp5 would be the Fame SAF (spelling?)

hard to find with NO hope of new mags or parts if dammaged as the factory will not support civvie ownership
 
If you are looking for a fun 9mm sub gun that isn't prohib, then maybe have a look at the AR 9mm series. Almost the same size package as the HK, and still all the fun. Accessories are endless, and because it has basically the same fire control mech as any AR, and is the same ergonomically, then it's easy to convert from it's 556 brother.

As with anything nowadays, magazines are always a concern, but no more so than any other "kinky" toy that's out there. It can use converted Uzi mags at less than half the price of a factory Colt mag, and are easier to load.

As well, any AR lower can be conerted to shoot 9mm while still be able to go back to 556. If you already have an AR platform to start with, far less than the price of a new gun, and you are ready to go. (Although I am a proponent of new guns:D )

Just to conclude, 2 koldt thumbs up:D .
 
Follow the lead of some of the other members on this site, buy a 9mm AR carbine, and then build your own MP5-style "body" for it. ;)
 
If you have the money and manage to find one, there's always the UMP. Very rare and expensive but shoots extreamly well. That B&T TP9 is also very well made and shoots well but IMHO, may as well get a handgun. You could turn a glock into the same thing.
 
I've had a FAMAE SAF, nice gun but the 9mm AR rocks it. Now I run a Colt Defense 10.25" 9mm carbine as my fav "mouse gun".

All I can say is that after shooting an MP5 last week (including full auto and 3 shot burst) I am in love!! That thing shoots so nice and its so easy to control...

Stupid government! :(

I hate to say it, and it is not going to be popular but ...

I am with Strange Day, I have opporated both the MP5 and UMP and I prefer the UMP. So WrongWay be depressed NO MORE!

Save those pennies to the tune of 6 gs and you have your sweet.. sweet gun my friend!

Besides I need a last shot bolt hold open, I get to excited and forget the training method to remember the round count.
