MP40 still in use by law enforcement?

More interesting than the gun is the big M on the jacket right behind the cops....I'd never thought that Ronald would make it there!

Apparently McDonalds is huge in China (been in HK since 1975), KFC is second and Starbucks are starting to sprout all over the country. Going by internet reports only of course. Never been there.
 
Not an MP40. You never know though, some small craphole may be using them. I saw quite a few M3 Grease Guns being used by the Afghan police in Kabul. Most had AK's of course, even saw one without a buttstock or pistol grip, had a piece of cord tied around the trigger for crying out loud.

More interesting is the English POLICE on all their vests. Saw that in news footage of the police shepherding people around when snowstorms left folks stranded at train stations and airports ealier in the year too. Struck me as odd that police removed from any tourist areas would have English on their vests...

It's probably become more of a symbol by now, English language is everywhere. Not likely much different than asking for the WC (of course, with different results).

Probably in preparation for the Olympics that no one in their right mind should go visit.

When I was in Beijing Mcdonalds was a god send. All those lies you hear about being fed cat and dog - arent. At least with a mcdonalds burger you cant tell what your eating!
