A few of us from Saskatchewan went out for this very well organized and run match. We all had a very great time and meet many new faces, some of which are members on this forum. The point spread in the top 4 places were very small in all categories.

Weather report (The St. Charles range faces north)
Day 1 - fishtailing south wind, 7 to 9 mph at start, higher after, +30 C temp
Day 2 - Gusting west winds, 8-12 mph at start, ending with 20 to +25 mph, +30 C temp
Day 3 - Calm to +1 mph east wind at the start of 900 yds, ending with 10 mph west at 1000 yds, temp cool, around +20 C, hum was over 95%, heavy air...

Actually it should not have been allowed, as per the DCRA rules, but I looked the other way.

My best memory was at 1000 yds line day 3, shooting with Jim and not sure his name, Ron or Rob I think, that was sweet, smooth and fast. Also at 300M day 2 was fun, never been in a shoot-off, lots of pressure in that one for me... seemed like 50 eyes were on us that match, but it was fun. Meet lots of great guys too, very memorialable.

Thanks for the brass too Steve.... started forming it last night.

My guess, it was at the 1000 yds line day 2, man that was some wind eh... reminds me of Nokomis... HA..

I see on the pic of the sheet on the wall (shown below) that you shot a 42 at that yardage but the math says a 40 was used in the spreadsheet. Only thing harder is when the target markers burn 'ya with a goose egg because they can not find the hole eh... That is 2 points, were was the third Steve?

I wish I could have that match (1000 yd day2), the 500 yd day1 and the 900 yd day3 back to re-fire, lost way too many points in those and I can usually do much better than those scores show.

Saddest part for me was I slept on Brian's couch on Thursday night in Regina and had a really sore neck and back, seeing the Chyro for 3 days now and it still hurts, hard to walk straight!

Hope to see you guys out for the Driller's on Aug 25&26 or the PPRA on Sept 15&16 at Nokomis. Thinking of screwing on the 308 barrel and use 155 SMK's for the PPRA match, if I have time, probably not... since I would have to make brass (.335 nk) and work up a load still and with my back the way it is and all... maybe I'll just stay with the 6..

You all are more than welcome to come on out and shoot the big "meatball" with us any time too :)
