Clancy, is this the Pedersen of M1 Carbine fame? Or a different one?

"...the Pedersen of M1 Carbine fame..." It's Williams for the Carbine. Pedersen for the device that made a semi-auto out of the '03 Springfield. Pedersen had a rifle in the U.S. Army's search for a semi-auto battle rifle.

Sorry Sunray, meant the John D. Pedersen of Irwin Pedersen who was an arms designer himself, and submitted his own design for a Carbine to the US Army which wasn't accepted. Later he was part of the formation of IP which 'made' the M1 Carbine. Just wondering if its the same Pedersen.

And Pedersen was a part of M1 Carbine fame....the fame being the amazing failure rate of their production run and the company itself.
