How the old timers completed harvest, I help my brother in the UK who organises this event every two years.


The old steam engine is superb. Dirty work but for one day it is fun, washed down with plenty of local cider.


We have a local pilot give us a private air show with his superb P51 Mustang. This area was the home of the “Mighty Eighth” the US 8th Army Bomber group during WWII so these planes are no strangers to theses skies.


Reminiscing, over 42 years ago I met a beautiful farmers daughter, I gave her a ride home on a David Brown tractor, we were married within a year, my wife is still the same beautiful farmers daughter.

It could have been worse! He might have had a Manure Spreader on behind the Tractor, then he never would have been married.

And I agree - you WILL be paying for that for a long time. You had better hope it is a short Winter so you do not get behind in your snow shovelling.
