MR223 or LWRC or... etc- Any news?

Any word on the HK MR223? I thought this was due out already? How about LWRC or any of the others we're all waitin on?

Kevin is correct with don't count on it for commercial resale exports in the near term.

Every time we try and regroup with a LWRC config the DOS has moved the goalposts.

We recently sent another go at it. If it is approved, then we still have to have them built. All can be done, but how long, who knows?

Definitely. There is no state that has the same specs as the DOS has put on export, so every AR15 coming into Canada these days is a Canadian export only model. With the Stags we're on about Mk5 configuration.

This got me thinking - in the US there is the NSSF.

In CAnada, there seems to be no trade organizatio for firearms industry. Maybe it is time to organze so you can communicate with the US counter part to put pressure on the DOS. Afterall, it is business.
