I'm trying to get an MRA Maverick receiver kit together and my cam pin is too tall to make it into the cut out for it to rotate. It's put a gouge in the receiver above the hole by about .020". MRA sells a Maverick specific cam pin but I was wondering if anyone could measure the thickness of the "hat" on their cam pin for me (any cam pin that fits in a Maverick receiver). Mine is of unknown manufacture and the hat measures .080" thick. There's nothing in the manual or on their website stating the Maverick requires a specific cam pin so I'm wondering if my cam pin is just out of spec or something.
So far I'm pretty unimpressed with the Maverick receiver kit and kind of wish I had just bought another bolt gun instead of trying to build this. The pivot and takedown pins had not been deburred and every machined edge on them was razor sharp including around the heads. The takedown pin spring was significantly oversized and even fully collapsed on itself it wouldn't fit in the hole. I had to cut it by more than half to even fit the receiver.
