MRA renegade barrel swap issue

Got a mra renegade and wanted to swap a 18.5 barrel on to it. (18.5 Barrel was from a semi auto)
Issue I ran into is I cant cycle the action, but can remove the barrel easy enough.

Any help or insight would be appreciated

Is your new barrel a standard AR15 barrel with barrel extention? If so, it should work fine. Check for burrs in the barrel extention or alignment. You can compare that with the old barrel.

Yes it is. I checked for burrs cleaned it up a bit and getting some cycling now. I'll check alignment tonight

No burrs found. Oiled everything generously, back to not cycling so pulled it apart whipped everything down assembled and cycles.
So that being said would it just be tight tolerances?

Did you mean that you had a hard time pulling the bolt back or would it not go into battery?

Yes pulling the bolt back.

Pull the bolt out of BCG and cycle it as a test. Did you use an AR cam pin or the MRA cam pin? Think there was some problems with some AR cam pin manufacturers, different tolerences.

Cycles fines. And cycled the carrier with bolt no cam pin and cycled perfect. As for the cam pin what one cam with the renegade

Did you remember to remove the gas rings and install the required "helper spring" on the tail of the bolt?

What you are describing is precisely the issue the "helper spring" is there to alleviate...
