MRD on an Elcan issues

Hey guys, I'm trying to mount a Burris Fastfire on an Elcan OS4X but the Burris screws are a bit too big for the MRD mount. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you resolve it? Different mount? Different screws? Any info would be helpful.

I just bought the same scope and I'm looking at mounting a MRD as well. There are tiny set screws inside the Elcans mounting holes that need to be removed first. A very small Allen key should get them out.

Did you have to buy a mounting plate separately?
 
Yes I purchased a separate MRD mount. I see the set screws, the issue is between the plate and the fastfire. The fastfire won't screw to the MRD plate.
