Hi guys,
I'm looking at purchasing a Mueller Tactical Rifle Scope, in 8.5-25 x 44mm. How would this scope compare quality wise to say a Bushnell banner or trophy scope?

I plan to mount it on a savage 25 lightweight walking varminter in .17 hornet.

Never had a turret on any bushnell product fall off in my hand.. Can't say the same for mueller

I'd recommend something like a vortex crossfire II.. At least you'll have a good warranty.

Or keep saving for something better

If you land a good Mueller they can be a pretty decent bang for the buck. If not be prepared for issues. They have a very shallow eye relief which gets old real fast. I've had 3 of them over the years. One arrived with issues...exchanged it for another with issues, and exchanged that one for one that worked. While they served their purposes, I won't be picking up another. They are held in high regard on RFC.

Thanks,
Cal.

My first one was a 4-16×40 with AO, was junk out of the box and sent it back to amazon for a refund.Second one is a 8-32×40 target that I bought used off the ee. So far so good it's been great for a $250 scope. As others have said hit and miss.

I had a mueller target scope briefly, wasn't that impressed by it, sold it and bought another Millet LRS actually

I bought a :
Mueller Target Dot Rifle Scope, Black, 8-32 x 44mm on Amazon from a recommendation by another CGner and it is wonderful... bright accurate and currently $327
