My cool new toy.

It does about 30 different things including stock wrench, gas lock nut, throat erosion gauge, bore erosion gauge, flash hider alignment, ... Mine seems very well made and it is totally cool. Really expensive, but totally cool.

Can it be shipped to us?
Will you be selling these at the next m14 clinic?
What type of metal is it construted from?
 
Like I said, not cheap but great quality and does a lot of stuff. I am very pleased with mine. I have no idea whether they might be available in Canada. Right now he is only shipping to the US. I was not planning on getting any for export due to the cost once the dollar exchange is accounted for.

I have been shooting an M14 on and off for close to 20 years. In that time, I have been through a pile of tweaks and mods. There have been individual days that I have shot ~500rnds through it, and I have shot them wet, dirty, cold and hot.

I do not think that anything that I have done above is exceptional, but at no point have I ever used the 5 itemized tools you mention. Not once.

That said, I like gadgets as well. I heard about the tool a while back, and was interested until I heard the price.

Many people won't. I have been a professional mechanic for the past twelve years and I have the mindset of not minding to spend $$ to buy the best tools. I have a toolbox full of SnapOn tools. I could probably have done without but it's just the way I think. Will your #### fall off if you don't buy this tool? Nope. Would it be nice to have? I think so.

My point with the list was that if you are going to buy the tools, this isn't a bad way to go financially. It is expensive, but the breakdown shows that it isn't really that bad a deal.

Too bad you're not on the West Coast. Sounds like you'd be fun to go shooting with. I was giving a guy out here a hard time (all in fun) for going to the range and only shooting 10 rounds with his new M-14. :)

You guys seem to have a pile of fun out there. I plan to make it out there next year a couple of times. If you are in Calgary for any reason, pack some toys and lets get them warm.
 
It's a cool tool, no doubt the innovation here is well thought -out, but you could also take your firearm to a good smith or go through a clinic and the point would be moot. If you were a gunsmith working on the M14 it is feasible. A tool like that would pay for itself. It's probably directed at the 'smith market much like Snap-on. I think the tools from Desert Warrior are the ones I would buy as they seem more practical and generally, will get more use.
