I am sure this has been asked before, but I forget, pretty sure it is ok. I wanted to go rabbit/grouse hunting. I wanted to bring my 12 gauge shotty and my .22. Use my shotty as I walk around but maybe ill get bored and wanna sit down and wait for rabbits and use my .22

The point is can I carry both of these as I walk around the forest? Is only one allowed to be loaded at once etc. I think it is ok, as long as their isnt any conflicts with big game seasons etc

I think it is foolish to ask about regulations on the internet. You need facts, not opinion. Go to the authorities in your hunting area and ask them.

A question. Have you ever tried to schlep two rifles any distance through the bush?

Check the actual Regs.

I dunno why you would carry both, though. Makes no sense to me. You can shoot a shotgun sitting down......

During a controlled hunt you have to abide by the rules of the hunt, being shot size and caliber.
You can't mix bows with guns though.
Other than that, bring all you want.

This has been asked on here several times,
I asked a CO here in Ontario about this topic. With my example though I asked about goose hunting and carrying a rifle for coyote. The answer was no, due to the no toxic shot issue, he said while waterfowl hunting I was not to carry a rifle, because the rifle bullets may contain lead. Yes, I brought up the whole all copper bullets question, his answer was best not do it.
He did say however, that I was legal to carry 2 firearms for other types of hunting. He even said, legally there is no reason you couldn't be bow hunting deer and have a rifle with you for coyotes. But, he said you would open yourself up for a lot of questions if stopped.

As we all know, the opinion of the CO's may vary, so please take this info lightly. Research it yourself before deciding to venture out with multiple firearms.

I just carry my Krieghoff Drilling. 16 ga right barrel, .22 mag rimfire insert in the left, and 7x57R underneath. Good for Bunnies Bear and Bush chickens on one walk!

See if any of the vendors can bring in gunadapters.com stuff. The Pathfinder kit looks like fun... One breakbarrel shotgun, a handful of rounds of different calibres, and off you go!
