I did the whole Murrays thing and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Then the springs got all f'ed up and then the pin broke. It took a lot of time to clean all the pieces of spring and primer debris out of the fp chamber. Lucky I didn't end up having a slam fire. Best thing I have found is to shoot milsurp ammo, and CLEAN YOUR GUN COMPLETELY after each and every use. For all you guys that don't want to or are scared to disassemble your bolt/ firing pin, just do it correctly and you won't have any problems. Shake your bolt and if the pin rattles inside you are good to go. I prefer to stay away from commercial ammo for plinking/target/blasting. Too often I have ended up with soft primer debris in the FP chamber, jamming the pin so it won't free float. If you hunt with your SKS that is a different thing, you probably aren't blasting a pile of ammo anyways.
