Ok Fellas,
Just thought I'd share this before everybody goes moose hunting.
Last year I installed a gun boot on my four wheeler that a friend lent me. He swore by it and said that they are a must have. After getting back to camp one night through the middle of the hunt, I decided to clean my gun. Upon cleaning it, I noticed that the finish on the tip of my forend had rubbed of and actually went right into the wood of the gun. The gun boot did this and wrecked the finish of the forearm on what was a minty grade 4 belgium BAR. I have finally gotten over this incident (kinda-sorta) and wanted evrybody to know.
I bought a brand new gun boot this year that comes with a soft case that you can take out of the gun boot. I think it will work well.
So - inspect your gun boot liners for wear and tear as I would hate for you guys to have the same thing happen!
Good luck and happy hunting.
Steve
