This is a surplus 7.62x39 case that I put into the tumbler while polishing other cases.

I didn't expect how it would be turned into so I didn't put a picture before throwing it into the tumbler.

Please see, after 1h of rolling, how it looks like.... a "brand new" shining brass!!!

I started to regret dumped the copper washes cases as I thought they will never be turned into something charming. Will keep the case from now on at least for nice showcase.

I've never tried SS wet tumbling, but always love how brass comes out of my vibe tumbler with Lyman walnut media mixed with jeweller's rouge. Especially if I forgot it was running and left it for... oh, about 3 days!

You could almost use the larger cases as shaving mirrors!

Ive often wondered if there was another use for this copper washed brass..after a few trips to the range Ive acquired about a couple of 5 gallon pails of it...dont know if the scrap yard will take it or what I should do with it..Ive seen a few "artsy" projects done with it..I lack that talent but it seems a shame to throw it away..any ideas...any body seen anything creative done with it?
