Hey guys. I have a Savage 11 that I would like to put a muzzle brake on. I seen muzzle brakes for non-threaded barrels, they have Allen screws that clamp it on. Where could I buy something like this in Canada?

I wouldn't bother. Unless you like the possibility of shooting it off the end of your rifle if it moves at all... there is a lot of force put into a muzzle break and 4 little allen screws is not a lot holding it on there.

My buddy got a good one for his sks and it turned a 3MOA gun into minute-of-barn-door. He took it off. He plans to use it again, but hadn't bothered with it yet. We suspect it wasn't installed quite right, even though he followed the instructions.

Plus any time you remove it to clean you'll have to reinstall it, which runs a good chance of shifting your POI

Edit: for $299 you could get a regular break and thread your barrel probably. A much better option.

Grizzly Gunworks I ordered a Defcon non threaded took about 3 weeks delivery, very happy with the over all finish and it did not fly off the Barrel after the first shot.Good Luck

How many rounds have you put through it now? They don't usually fail on the first shot...

And Id be suspect of the quality of anything under $100. Remember you are bolting this to your gun to redirect fast moving hot gases, and there is a good deal of stress put on a brake...

I had a Roedale clamp on brake on a Rem 700 in 7mm rem mag, shot approximately 250-300 rounds without any issue...if you are not a complete retard when you install it, I would not worry about it flying off...just sayin
