Hey Gunners,

I have a Tikka T3 with a Sako muzzle brake on it and last night I got thinking about installation. Is there a wrong way to install a brake? I just screwed mine on as tight as it would go and then backed it off until the fire ports were horizontal with the ground and tightened the little screw so it would move. Anyone go any further to ensure proper installation?

Cheers

NO, there is not.

Simply thread on and lock in place with the set screw.

The only thingI would suggest is to take it off and clean it once and a while, it will just make your life easier.

Those dammed things build up pretty quick with crap.

Actually there can be a problem depend on the type of brake.

If it's like the Quad brake then there is only 1 way that it can go on. If it's multi holed then you would be right.

Na these are simple made for Tikkas and sako TRGs. They idiot proofed them.

Thread ons and teh set screw tightens the break on the threads.

You tighten as much as you can adjust and key her down.
