Muzzle brake recommendation

Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply manufactures and installs brakes, Soon as I save up some funds my .308 is going to them so I can spot my own shots since I mostly shoot alone.
Rick from Alberta Tactical Rifle makes some really nice brakes that are pleasing to the eye and work amazingly, but I would not recommend them for hunting as the noise it creates for the shooter is rather excessive.
One questions arrises, are you using this for hunting?
If so I used a Sendero in 300 ultra for years with no brake and due to its weight I don't really think it needs one. Just my opinion but maybe shoot it first and se how you like it.

This will be for hunting yes, but only for longer range hunting and also for shooting paper far out there. There is always enough time to slip on ear muffs since you have to figure out how far away the critters are first anyways so it doesn't matter that it's loud. For anything not long range I have guns without brakes.

one of the best brakes i have tested is manufactured in germany by roedale. they are a clamp on design and have remington specific models. disregard what the smiths on here will tell you about clamp ons, these are top notch and very well reviewed.
I had ATRS put one one of thier Gill Brakes on my 300WM. Not a hard stomping round but after 40-60 rounds the shoulder would get a bit sore. Now with a nice enough day and targets that are far enough away, I go home only when the ammos gone. Great brake and built so that it does not kick dirt and sod in your face when you shoot prone.
