I see many $5k plus rifles offered up that are equipped with muzzle brakes. Maybe some people are simply enjoying shooting these rifles outside of formal competition, or maybe there are some competitions that permit them. I know that F Class and F-TR don't, and I completely understand why. Do some competitions permit them?

I use brakes on my long range guns simply so i can spot my own trace/hits/ misses. I dont shoot matches nor do i have a permanent spotter who come to the range to spot for me....most of the time i'm by myself...when i say range i mean back forty lol
