I have long realized the advantage of a good brake, I must have come accross a dozen posts from time to time of guys who make custom brakes on here. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who makes these.

Thanks

i just dropped my gun off with jeff from grizzly gun works, super nice guy to deal with, price is good too and his brakes are top notch

Badger FTE work pretty good on 308win, 300win havent try it on 338 I am sure it work great, Wolverine supplies are great to deal with, I am sure they could directed you to a good smith who can install them, Grizzly Gun works also look great, I am sure most of the major manufacture brake work great since they put enough time in it. I am just doing for hobbies and try to find out which work.

I test 2of these short one and it work really well, 300WM less recoil than my 243win heavy barrel.
diamber range from 1.25 to 1.5", length:less than 2" long.

but if you want maximum recoil with magnum caliber, but willing to take a risk of being deft , than these one will do.
diameter: 1.5 Length:2.6" long.

Have you tried everything in this photo? Do you have favorits, or performance comments on each style?

I have try most of them on 308 and 300 wm, some on 338, and the result have amaze and supprise, some doesn't work as well as the other, which require some tweak to maximize performance.
I am very happy with the outcome and result.

ok silly to ask but could this be shorter and work? like cut off the last port?

For best performance, minimum is 2 port per side, unless you make the exit hole with smaller clearance, and extended the baffle to a larger side, also the angle of the port does have a big effect on recoil.
