Hey guys, I want a muzzle break installed on my 338 WMag just like the one you can screw on when at the range or put a cap back on the threaded end just before the hunt.
But now I'm learning that by doing this I might have to sight-in everytime when I switch. I want to know how much of a diffence between the two on the point of impact at 200 yrds??
Anybody ever experience this? Please help.
Regards, Ghunter

Every rifle is different.

My 300Win doesn't change measurably, while there is enough difference in my 416 that (depending on the load) it can move right off the paper at 100 yards!

I don't recommend hunting with a brake....My buddy suffered permanent hearing damage by getting a little too close to a brake while moose hunting.

Get it to a very low temperature by dunking the muzzle in liquid nitrogen so the metal becomes a bit brittle then install a break by hitting it really hard with a big hammer.
