muzzle breaks on pellet gun?

thanks for the info levi

unfortunatly i am on dial up and i usually have alot of problems trying to watch youtube vids as i cant "save as" and it takes forever to download a little clip even when i can but ill try to remember those links for the next time i go to the city:)

i have heard that the muzzle break is supposed to help with the recoil....any truth to that?

plenty of truth but only on firearms

well you are adding weight(not much),and any increase of weight will reduce (felt) recoil.

but i really dont think you would be able to feel the difference.

i have one coming for my beeman (my broken front sight looks like ####).
i will let you know if it "transforms it in to a tack driver",
but i am not expecting it too

I've got one on my QB78, for some reason it shoots better with the MB on it, harmonics...??? I also used it so I would have a longer sight radius plus I was able to install my globe sight on it. This one is home made..it's nice to have a shooting buddy who is a machinist:cool:

Don't know the weight exactly...maybe a couple of onces, it made out of aluminium. The QB is bolt action Co2 rifle, this one is a .177 but .22 cal is available

looking forward to hearing how it works out for you

im not expecting a muzzle break to transform my $100 pellet gun into an $800 pellet gun or anything (wouldnt that be cool) :) but i would like to keep the front end from bouncing up so much, im sure that by the time i run out of pellets i will have adapted to it but i also intend to mod my phantom 500 .22 so i know i will end up with more kick than i have now

i like bolt action and i really considered co2 but instead i decided on a springer so the only thing i could run out of is pellets.
by the way what is the fps on that setup?

When I got the QB a few years ago I tried 15 type of pellets and shot them over my chrony, shooting 5 shots and did the average of each type. The slowest was 648FPSwith Xisico pellets and the fastest was 820FPS with Milbro pellets. Of course they where not all the same weight and shape. The most consistent pellets where the H&N Finale Match with a max. spread of 5FPS for an average of 735FPS fellowed by RWS at 689FPS with a max spread of 9FPS. I shoot only H&N now!!!
