Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to keep debri out of their barrels, when you're tramping through the thick brush? My brother-in-law blew up the barrel of his 870, after crawling up on some geese, a few years back. What's the best cover, that you could shoot through?

I've used a baggie and rubber band. I've had bad experiences using condoms for anything other than their intended purpose. I wore them over a finger bandage, while doing landscape work one time. I made the mistake of leaving a couple lying around the shop, and my wife found them. She forgot about my crushed finger, and went straight to work on divorce proceedings. Take my advice, and don't keep condoms with your hunting gear.
I use a muzzle cap that I got from the forces. If you trim the length, it won't interfere with the bead and will blow off with the shot/bullet. I've never seen them in a store, but they shouln't be too hard to find. As for finding a condom in your hunting gear, I think my hunting trip would be cancelled right quick if a condom fell out of your pocket as we were getting into the truck!
