I'm looking for a muzzlebrake to put on my sporterized enfield (No 5 Mk1).

I'm not shooting it at a range and want to give it to the girlfriend to learn to shoot a larger calibre with (she's shot .223 before).

Does anyone know where I can find one? I remember seeing a screw on one before, has anyone had any experience with these? I'm able/willing to thread it and install it but would rather not.

Correct me if I am wrong, but does the No 5 not come with a large cone flash-hider at the end of it? Or do you have a converted No 4 to No 5 without the end piece?

Numerich Arms. There is more to attaching a muzzle brake than meets the eye. Take it to a good gunsmith and let him install an after market unit. Corwin Arms sells them for $30 as do some private makers with CNC equipment. Shipping and taxes will be applied.

A threaded one for a AK47 or VZ858 would work, but gunsmith would have to cut the barrel threads to match.

If you don't reload, have a buddy who does make up a batch of ammo loaded with 123 gr bullets. No recoil.
