Muzzleloader barrel going to buy in the US

I was looking to purchase a muzzleloader barrel for my CVA Apex. They have a 50 cal available. Just wondering if I could have any problems coming across the US border. My understanding if I get stopped by US customs with a centre fire barrel I would get into big trouble because I need an export permit. However my understanding is muzzeloaders are not firearms in the US and do not require an export permit.

CVA Apex is similar to the TC Encore and Pro Hunter.

I bet you would have more trouble bringing a .50 cal barrel over the border than you would the entire muzzleloader...

You are quite correct.....
There are no issues with export when it comes to components for muzzleloaders.
I buy locks & barrels from Track of the Wolf over the internet that arrive within days of order, no issues whatsoever.
