Muzzleloading

I got the bug as well. I got My muzzle loader shooting pretty good groups at 40 yards. Still got to shot it past that yet

Hunt MuzzleLoader annually NYS, opens Dec 12th this year, extends the season, more bush time..

I,have hunted with a muzzle loader for the last 29 years. In sask we usually have an early season for white tail and draw mulies. I have tagged out with it for at least 20 of those 29 years and have only had to hunt with my rifle to tag out on the other nine.

For me I love the weather of october and do not really enjoy the cold of late November or December so you bet I love my muzzle loader. After trying several different kinds I settled on a savage MLII. It has brought home the venison from 200+ plus yards right down to three paces.

I have 4 50 cal front stuffers. I really enjoy hunting with them. I may take one bear hunting next year. I shot a 7 point and a big 10 point whitetail last Monday with my traditions buck stalker

I hunt the ML season in Saskatchewan. Temperature is milder than the late November rifle season. We eat venison every year.
Hunt slowly, get close, one shot is plenty.
Guesstimate on this year's buck score, about 130ish. So clearly, I am not the big trophy Bwana. It is a tasty trophy; back strap medallions on the BBQ last night.

It's really appealing in the prairies. Get to miss all the miserable weather. Mind you I shot my deer Nov 9th and it was +15c this year.

I been hunting deer with my mzler for about 20 years in Manitoba. They have a seperate season right before the rifle season. Nice to be out with no bugs, not many other hunters and decent weather.

this is the deer I put down with my Traditions ML this year early Oct in Sask.
OP is right, once you try it you're hooked.
