Can't wait anymore, three days and I am gone, I have the dam deer running all over our yard, all times of the day. And those Dam elk, waking me up at 3:00am with all their crazy calls. I am so sick and tired of giving them names like, Hi pot roast and stuch. Who else is going on monday??

Got two with muzzleloader, just does but antlers make bad soup anyway.
Firstr I shot a couple of weeks ago with d.bala's hawken type and shot n nice fat doe tonight with my 50cal traditions. just got done skinning her and I smell like a goat cause the XTP went in to the shoulder at an angle destroyed the lungs and went on to the stomache :( those XTP's sure make a mess of a shoulder seen two deer shot with them now that had lost of meat damaged.
Is there a harder 50 cal bullet out there?

You can try hard cast conicals or go the Barnes Spi-Fire TMZ.
As for us Albertans, the only m.l. hunt season is at Wainwright Training base, the line up is looong:(
Have a joyous hunt;)

Monday afternoon I'll be picking my oldest son up from school a little early and heading out for an evening hunt with him. With the amount of deer I have been seeing, we should bag one.

Muzzleloading is great, nothing like getting the first picks on bucks that arent spooked. Our season started on Oct 1st and was done by the 3rd.

Good luck fellows and post some pics ;)

I'll be out first think Monday Morn. Got one already tied to a tree waiting for me(I hope he's still there on Monday, he's geen there on schedule all week!). I took Mon and Tues off.....it's like a disease. I can't help myself....loosing sleep over it and everything.....God I love to hunt....

Well, two days to go, my buddie left today to our property, cabin is ready, new furnace installed, 21ft trailer bunk house camper ready, tons of fire wood, another truck of free fire wood on the way, lol. Four tree stands already in place, two ground blinds, six ground cut chairs in place. Deer on the drive way almost every week end, deer on the trail camera's, Deer behind the out house, lol. And I can't leave until sunday, when I finish off all the pre-baked camp goodies, and pick up the last minute stuff. This is pure torture!!

Yeah, I know the feeling. Going out Monday morning with my bud. We both have the whole week off. Apparantly we have to help some Hutterites get rid of a few excess deer on thier property. We shall try:dancingbanana:

Off for 2 WEEKS......

YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE...........:dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :D :D Anything is better than work. Not exactly sure how much I will get out but will get out non the less. I have done no scouting at all since I moved away from the area I hunt in. I love the surprises that may or may not come with that. Will possibly get out with my daughter for a drive tommorrow evening and do a little scouting about. If it ain't big this year it is going to be a good eater instead.;)

"T" minus 10 days until hunting season here in Albertastan...:dancingbanana:

My order of bullets arrived from PR Bullet, fresh can 'o' Pyrodex, and am just about to prime up some of them Vari-flame adapters.
