Does anyone here have an MVA scope? I am wondering what the height of the scope bases are. I want to be able to scope a rifle with one of their Winchester B models, but still be able to use a vernier and globe sight. If I know the height, I can make fake bases to test to see if there is enough clearance.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I can measure a set later this morning, but I can tell you they are very short. Maybe 3/16". You will absolutely be able to take the scope off and still use your sights.

If you can look that would be great!

The front globe I have is pretty low so I was not sure. Before I sight the rifle in, I would swap out the front globe fist if it is too low.

My MVA blocka are 0.187"
I'd be really surprised if they would block using your aperture sights. I have 1000 yard rifles with 0.375" rear blocks and I can still see the front sights. My rear sights are all MVA soules, and fronts are either low profile MVA, Distant Thunder, or Baldwin and they all work great with scope blocks on. Mind you I don't shoot at really close distances so can't guarantee that they'd be good at 50 yards, but certainly at 200m they are fine.

Chris.

Perfect, thanks for the help.

Right now I am shooting at 100 yards most of the time with the ability to easily go to 200 as a far distance. Anything over that is trying to find the location to do that outside my local range.
