No it's not one of the norinco 93 woodsman copies, although that was what i originally had in mind to buy. Found this high standard model B at the orangeville gunshow back in september instead. Ended up costing me less than what the norinco woulda cost after shipping/tax and overall i think it's a nice little .22. Was made between 1932-1938 and has about 90% finish with a few light scratches and same wear on the back strap. Has an excelent bore and should make a good shooter. Now i'm just gonna see if i can track down some original grips as the handmade wood ones on it are a little ugly and not that ergonomic.

Great score! Make sure you only use standard velocity ammo in it, as High Standards tend to crack frames when subjected to a steady diet of HV ammo. If you can find Winchester Dynapoints, they are standard velocity and reasonably inexpensive.

Yep :yingyang: , save the hi-vel for the more modern pistols....;)

If it is anything like mine, it will be a tack driver! Great little 22.
Thanks to the others for the info on cracking .... I'll search for std velocity ammo.

Stay clear from the HV stuff. My first pistol was a Sport King was great untill i cracked the slide. Price was good and fun to shoot.
