Sorry couldn't resist. Victory went to the whities this year. As mentioned before I did get my mulie doe and still had the time of my life. Great times with great friends. Was granted permission to some awesome land thanks to a buddy. Can't wait for next year. I need to make more time though.

Yup, I'm currently in the same boat as you! After licenced OVER harvesting with doe tags & a couple tough winters... The deer population in the Ottawa area is LOW... I've seen ONE deer in all the time out, a small doe...

Still trying, hopefully the Excalibur ExoMax gets to draw blood on a buck...

You had an awesome season

1) No cutting yourself with the gutting knife
2) No look of scorn from your wife as you drag bloody carcass into the yard
3) No spending money at the processors only to find out your meat was mixed
with some other guys smelly road kill
4) Hours spent peacefully in the woods away from work cell phones and all
those things that suck the life right out of you.

Same here.
Be sure to peel the backing off, it's a little stringy.

Saw two deer during the week for rifle and one during the week for muzzle loader. Could have shot the does during the rifle season but passed in hopes of a buck.

Deer numbers are VERY low here. Talking to other hunters in the area, its the same story.
I have only seen one roadkill this year too.
