I'm building a fun little target 10/22 with a nice VQ barrel that should be decent out to about 100 yards to kill time between shots while sighting in a new Savage 10MLII. Ideally, this scope will be less than $150 Cdn. I know the Mueller APV is amazing but the lowest price I can find in Canada is ~226+tax.

Right now, my best candidate is the Bushnell Banner 4-12x40 at lebaron for 118. Anybody had problems with this scope or have better suggestions?

I have a Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 on my .17. IMO a great scope, especially for the money. It seems to retain POI well. On my 10/22 I have a 3200 5-15 but thats probably a bit out of your price range. THe bushnell banner would be a real good choice for the money though. I don't think I would want to spend any less than about $150 for a scope though. Its always good to get something good the first time.

I have one of the 4-12 and 6-18 in the banner line had a bit of bad luck with the 6-18 but bushnell made it right, the 4-12 has bounced around and has served me well.

I have a Barska 3-12 AO Airgun on my 10/22 and I like it better than the 4-12bushnell, it's clearer and has finer crosshairs (it's also a mil-dot), In the banner scopes I have looked through I find the cross hairs to be really heavy.

I just bought the 4-12 last night. Looks awesome but havent fired the 10-22 with it yet. That happens sat morning.

I have the 4-12x40 on my M305, should have no issue with it on a .22. Power adjustment ring is a tad stiff, but other than that, no complaints.

I have a 4-12 banner and it would not hold zero on my .270 ( move by 6 inches). Bushnell sent me a new one and it was fine on my .22 and it now sits atop a .30-06. Time will tell if it holds okay there, I'd say I just got a bad one.
