Purchased from Marstar.
It has been fully disassembled and de-cosmolined.
I was able to remove virtually all the cosmoline from the stock by baking it in the oven at 170F, wiping it down every 20 minutes for about three hours, followed by 15 minutes in the dishwasher (no soap!). Once it was dried, 24 hours later, I gave it a light sanding with 220 grit followed by 400 grit. Then, I rubbed in some Minwax "Gunstock" woodstain using 400 grit sandpaper, rubbing with the grain. 24 hours later, I finished it off with Minwax finishing paste for a smooth, furniture-like polish. I did not remove any inspection cartouches from the stock. They're still nice and crisp, despite the dishwasher treatment (you have to be really careful with that).
I touched up the blueing in a few spots.
The gun appears to be in un-issued condition. Everything is pretty much perfect, and you'd never know it was near any cosmoline. Not a trace. Doesn't leave any residue on your hands.
