View attachment 756360[/ATTACH]the hole far from the others was my first shot at 100 metres to see if it would arrive on paper. So it is part of the group but i have no explanation for it except i think it is error. The load is 6.5 grains tinstar with mag pistol primer

Of course the photo is turned, it should be clockwise 90 degrees. The holes are not perfect round so im not sure of success yet but it was minus 20 and they might straighten out if its warmer. I have a 32 40 that looks almost as bad down the bore and it shoots very well out to 200 but only with the subsonic lead loads i made

that bore looks like it has shot a lot of jacketed slugs sometime in its life. Those early 93's "old steel" barrels were made for cast slugs and jacketed speeds up the wear considerably.

marlin bores of that era have a reputation for being very generous in finished bore size, quality control in the barrel room didnt seem to be their strong point. With that point made & the wear in your barrel that group isnt actually that bad but you may be able to tightenit up by 1/2 with fatter slugs either by bigger mold or up-sizing your existing slugs with powder coating ( wont hurt/wear your bore anymore than already is . If your unfamiliar with PC, go down to the "cast bullet" forum
