My 590 Blackwater a DUD?

My 590 Blackwater just came in the mail today, Thanks WANSTALLS.

I opened it and I am a little dissapoined.

1) There a solder marks? on the barrel where the front sight it connected. Is this normal? It is a brownish color, that makes the black barrel look wierd.

2) My biggest beef is the forend rails.. It seems very weak and it wobbles side to side. Is this also normal. Can I buy new stronger rails for the forend to sit on?

Otherwise I am very pleased with this gun.

All normal.
Mossberg wobble, you will forget about it in time. I was same when I first got mine but its all normal for a mossberg shotgun.

The front site is brazed on, go get a black paint pen if you don't like it, as stated above the wobble is normal

There was another post about the brazing a little while ago, but the concensus was that it was normal, and to go shoot the hell out of it...I recommend the same

My 870 Police Express is the same way, it's normal.

All normal stuff. Same thing with my 590A1. If it's good enough for the marines, it's good enough for you, lol.

When you can see the brazing like that, its a good thing. It means the filler rod material covers the entire underside of the sight.

My brand new 500TR has the wobble also. Same deal, normal. Ran it yesterday pretty good. Great shotty.
